15 Words or Less Poems: Fly, Penguin, Fly

Wake up your poetry brains with 15 Words or Less (guidelines here)!

This is a spheniscus magellanicus, or Magellenic penguin. It's amazing how strong and robust its chest looks, even with no muscles. I guess it's no surprise this bird can't fly, even though they have it displayed as if it's in flight. Huh. Wonder why they have it displayed this way at the Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Karlsruhe, Germany. Oh, I guess it's probably displayed as it looks while swimming! I'll just count that as flying through water, right? Anyway, here's what this picture makes me think of:

*   How can eyes look so intense, on a skeleton with no eyes?
*   Is that big chest plate bone to keep the water pressure from caving in the ribs?
*   This looks so predatory, which I never think of as a major characteristic of penguins.

So, what does this picture make you think of? Write a quick 15 Words or Less poem and share it in a comment below. Have fun!
